Little Guitars
Eddie recorded this song, from the Diver Down album, using his original red, white, and black-striped Charvel "Franky" and a miniature Gibson Les Paul copy hand-built by Dave Petschulat. Effects included a Roland Chorus/Echo unit.
The lyrics were inspired by the acoustic intro. David Lee Roth felt the piece had a Mexican flavor in it, so he wrote the lyrics for a senorita. The line "Can't crow before I'm out of the woods, but there's exceptions to the rule" is an old saying that means: a crow flying through the forest won't make any noise, or it will draw attention to itself and could get eaten. It will wait until it's out in the open before crowing, but there are exceptions to this rule.
