Engineer Donn Landee hung two microphones in the middle of a room, and this song was recorded in approximately 30 minutes for inclusion on the OU812 album.

This is one of only two Van Halen tracks featuring guitar work from Sammy Hagar. Eddie played slide guitar on this song using a 1959 black Airline guitar (purchased at the 1985 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA) through a small Music Man amplifier.

Ted Templeman and Donn Landee recorded the original version of this song with Little Feat 16 years earlier.

This track is included on the CD release, but not the vinyl or cassette releases of OU812. It is also on the B-side of the Black and Blue single.
